This is the snug, a cosy corner in the smaller cone that connects the trullo entrance to the kitchen...for reading indoors when it is too hot outside or for those quick afternoon naps whilst the others are splashing by the pool.

The kitchen area is slightly elevated form the dining area and a high counter separates the two. The table sits six and a long bench offers additional space relaxing talks.

This system works by removing humidity from the air and providing a pleasant constant low-speed cooling. For it to work well, during the hottest summer months thermostats must be kept at a constant temperature of 26 degrees celsius (79 fahrenheit) and doors must be kept shut at all times to limit heat ingress. At night it is possible to lower the fan speed to minimise noise for the sensitive ears.
